Time keeps flying by. I cannot believe that I am currently sitting at a little café studying for my final exams tomorrow night.
This past week has been pretty relaxed compared to others, so I have been reflecting a lot (per usual). This past weekend was our long weekend: we went to San Sebastián, a beach town located on the Northern coast of Spain, right on the border between Spain and France.

Let me tell ya, pictures cannot do this place justice. The entire weekend we were all absolutely amazed by the beauty. We arrived on Thursday night and after a long bus ride, we walked around and explored the city. On Friday, we woke up decently early and climbed to the top of this incredible mountain (mind you, I did this in sandals). Once on the top of the mountain, we met an elderly man that works in the information center/museum at the top. A woman from the U.S. on vacation was trying to ask him questions in English and he was very confused, so we translated for the two and found out that he walks up this mountain each day to work. I was thrown – the walk is pretty intense. We met up with a few of the boys after climbing the mountain and took a boat over to the island. Once on the island, we started to adventure. The boys decided to climb down onto the rocks right along the water, so naturally, I followed. That experience has been my ultimate favorite of this entire trip. After our adventurous day, we went on a pintxos tour with our group. Pintxos are basically appetizers that accompany your drinks. We went to three different places for pintxos and at the end, we all shared cheesecake for dessert. On Saturday, some of our group took a bus to France since it was only about 45 minutes away. I decided to stay on the beach all day. There are platforms in the middle of the water on the beach with slides and diving boards. My friends and I decided to swim out there a couple of times and it was absolutely incredible. I honestly felt like I was in a dream the entire weekend. Sunday was very relaxing – we went to get breakfast, walked around the city for a while and then went to the aquarium. You truly don’t realize how awesome life is until you actually see and think about everything that is undiscovered – all of the secrets the Earth holds (but I’ll save my thoughts on that for a more philosophical blog post).
I could go on and on and on about San Sebastián, but I’ll just let all of you live through the photos. See you in a week, Ohio!
